是誰假借“耶穌”和他使徒的名義把這麼多反猶文句精密地編輯到了薄薄的新約五書之中呢是誰以“聖靈”的名義把這樣的新約稱作“神的話”呢是誰用各種方式要我們無條件信奉這樣的“聖書”呢是誰?

Can such anti-Jewish language be the "breathed word of G-d", as many Christians believe the New Testament is, or the "inspired word of G-d", as many other Christians believe? Can the New Testament, which has led to the persecution and murder of millions of Jews throughout the Common Era, truly be the breathed word of G-d, or be inspired by Him? Am I ready to embrace this New Testament, which spouts hatred and lies against the Jewish people, and accept it as part of my Bible?

3:7c The Pharisees and Sadducees are called poisonous snakes

約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人、也來受洗、就對他們說、毒蛇的種類、誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢。 

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 

 

12:34a The Pharisees are called evil poisonous snakes

毒蛇的種類、你們既是惡人、怎能說出好話來呢.因為心裏所充滿的、口裏就說出來。 

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 

 

15:3-9 Condemnation of the Pharisees for rejecting the commandments

耶穌回答說、你們為甚麼因著你們的遺傳、犯 神的誡命呢。 

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 

 神說、當孝敬父母.又說、咒駡父母的、必治死他。 

For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 

你們倒說、無論何人對父母說、我所當奉給你的、已經作了供獻. 

But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 

他就可以不孝敬父母。這就是你們借著遺傳、廢了 神的誡命。 

And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 

假冒為善的人哪、以賽亞指著你們說的預言、是不錯的.他說、 

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 

『這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我、心卻遠離我. 

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 

他們將人的吩咐、當作道理教導人、所以拜我也是枉然。』 

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 

 

15:12-14 The Pharisees are called blind guides leading the blind

當時、門徒進前來對他說、法利賽人聽見這話、不服、你知道麼。〔不服原文作跌倒〕 

Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 

耶穌回答說、凡栽種的物、若不是我天父栽種的、必要拔出來。 

But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 

任憑他們吧.他們是瞎眼領路的.若是瞎子領瞎子、兩個人都要掉在坑裏。 

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. 

 

16:6 Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees

耶穌對他們說、你們要謹慎、防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵。 

Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 

 

19:3-9 The Pharisees are said to be hard-hearted

有法利賽人來試探耶穌說、人無論甚麼緣故、都可以休妻麼。 

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 

耶穌回答說、那起初造人的、是造男造女、 

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 

並且說、『因此、人要離開父母、與妻子連合、二人成為一體。』這經你們沒有念過麼。 

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 

既然如此、夫妻不再是兩個人、乃是一體的了.所以 神配合的、人不可分開。 

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 

法利賽人說、這樣、摩西為甚麼吩咐給妻子休書、就可以休他呢。 

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 

耶穌說、摩西因為你們的心硬、所以許你們休妻.但起初並不是這樣。 

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 

我告訴你們、凡休妻另娶的、若不是為淫亂的緣故、就是犯姦淫了、有人娶那被休的婦人、也是犯姦淫了。 

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 

 

19:28 The disciples of Jesus will judge the twelve tribes of Israel

耶穌說、我實在告訴你們、你們這跟從我的人、到復興的時候、人子坐在他榮耀的寶座上、你們也要坐在十二個寶座上、審判以色列十二個支派。 

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 

 

22:18c The Pharisees are called hypocrites

耶穌看出他們的惡意、就說、假冒為善的人哪、為甚麼試探我. 

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 

 

23:13-36 The scribes and Pharisees are repeatedly vilified as hypocrites

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們正當人前、把天國的門關了.自己不進去、正要進去的人、你們也不容他們進去。〔有古卷在此有〕 

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 

〔你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了因為你們侵吞寡婦的家產假意作很長的禱告所以要受更重的刑罰〕 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們走遍洋海陸地、勾引一個人入教.既入了教、卻使他作地獄之子、比你們還加倍。 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 

你們這瞎眼領路的有禍了.你們說、凡指著殿起誓的、這算不得甚麼.只是凡指著殿中金子起誓的、他就該謹守。 

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! 

你們這無知瞎眼的人哪、甚麼是大的、是金子呢、還是叫金子成聖的殿呢。 

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? 

你們又說、凡指著壇起誓的、這算不得甚麼.只是凡指著壇上禮物起誓的、他就該謹守。 

And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. 

你們這瞎眼的人哪、甚麼是大的、是禮物呢、還是叫禮物成聖的壇呢。 

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 

所以人指著壇起誓、就是指著壇和壇上一切所有的起誓。 

Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. 

人指著殿起誓、就是指著殿和那住在殿裏的起誓。 

And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. 

人指著天起誓、就是指著 神的寶座和那坐在上面的起誓。 

And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們將薄荷、茴香、芹菜、獻上十分之一.那律法上更重的事、就是公義、憐憫、信實、反倒不行了.這更重的是你們當行的、那也是不可不行的。 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 

你們這瞎眼領路的、蠓蟲你們就濾出來、駱駝你們倒吞下去。 

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面、裏面卻盛滿了勒索和放蕩。 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 

你這瞎眼的法利賽人、先洗淨杯盤的裏面、好叫外面也乾淨了。 

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們好像粉飾的墳墓、外面好看、裏面卻裝滿了死人的骨頭、和一切的污穢。 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 

你們也是如此、在人前、外面顯出公義來、裏面卻裝滿了假善和不法的事。 

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了.因為你們建造先知的墳、修飾義人的墓、說、 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 

若是我們在我們祖宗的時候、必不和他們同流先知的血。 

And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 

這就是你們自己證明、是殺害先知者的子孫了。 

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 

你們去充滿你們祖宗的惡貫吧。 

Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 

你們這些蛇類、毒蛇之種阿、怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢。 

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 

所以我差遣先知和智慧人並文士、到你們這裏來.有的你們要殺害、要釘十字架.有的你們要在會堂裏鞭打、從這城追逼到那城. 

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 

叫世上所流義人的血、都歸到你們身上.從義人亞伯的血起、直到你們在殿和壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。 

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 

我實在告訴你們、這一切的罪、都要歸到這世代了。 

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 

 

23:38 The house of Jerusalem is to be forsaken and desolate

看哪、你們的家成為荒場、留給你們。 

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 

 

26:59-68 The chief priests and council condemn Jesus as deserving death

祭司長和全公會、尋找假見證、控告耶穌、要治死他。 

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; 

雖有好些人來作假見證、總得不著實據。末後有兩個人前來說、 

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, 

這個人曾說、我能拆毀 神的殿、三日內又建造起來。 

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. 

大祭司就站起來、對耶穌說、你甚麼都不回答麼.這些人作見證告你的是甚麼呢。 

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 

耶穌卻不言語。大祭司對他說、我指著永生 神、叫你起誓告訴我們、你是 神的兒子基督不是。 

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. 

耶穌對他說、你說的是.然而我告訴你們、後來你們要看見人子、坐在那權能者的右邊、駕著天上的雲降臨。 

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 

大祭司就撕開衣服說、他說了僭妄的話、我們何必再用見證人呢。這僭妄的話、現在你們都聽見了。 

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. 

你們的意見如何.他們回答說、他是該死的。 

What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. 

他們就吐唾沫在他臉上、用拳頭打他.也有用手掌打他的、說、 

Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, 

基督阿、你是先知、告訴我們打你的是誰。 

Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? 

 

27:1-26 The people demand that Jesus, not Barabbas, be crucified

到了早晨、眾祭司長和民間的長老、大家商議、要治死耶穌。 

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: 

就把他捆綁解去交給巡撫彼拉多。 

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. 

這時候、賣耶穌的猶大、看見耶穌已經定了罪、就後悔、把那三十塊錢、拿回來給祭司長和長老說、 

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 

我賣了無辜之人的血、是有罪了。他們說、那與我們有甚麼相干.你自己承當吧。 

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. 

猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裏、出去吊死了。 

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. 

祭司長拾起銀錢來說、這是血價、不可放在庫裏。 

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. 

他們商議、就用那銀錢買了窯戶的一塊田、為要埋葬外鄉人。 

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. 

所以那塊田、直到今日還叫作血田。 

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. 

這就應了先知耶利米的話、說、『他們用那三十塊錢、就是被估定之人的價錢、是以色列人中所估定的、 

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; 

買了窯戶的一塊田.這是照著主所吩咐我的。』 

And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me. 

耶穌站在巡撫面前、巡撫問他說、你是猶太人的王麼。耶穌說、你說的是。 

And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. 

他被祭司長和長老控告的時候、甚麼都不回答。 

And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. 

彼拉多就對他說、他們作見證、告你這麼多的事、你沒有聽見麼。 

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? 

耶穌仍不回答、連一句話也不說、以致巡撫甚覺希奇。 

And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly. 

巡撫有一個常例、每逢這節期、隨眾人所要的、釋放一個囚犯給他們。 

Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. 

當時、有一個出名的囚犯叫巴拉巴。 

And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. 

眾人聚集的時候、彼拉多就對他們說、你們要我釋放那一個給你們.是巴拉巴呢、是稱為基督的耶穌呢。 

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? 

巡撫原知道、他們是因為嫉妒才把他解了來。 

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. 

正坐堂的時候、他的夫人打發人來說、這義人的事、你一點不可管.因為我今天在夢中、為他受了許多的苦。 

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. 

祭司長和長老、挑唆眾人、求釋放巴拉巴、除滅耶穌。 

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 

巡撫對眾人說、這兩個人、你們要我釋放那一個給你們呢。他們說、巴拉巴。 

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 

彼拉多說、這樣、那稱為基督的耶穌、我怎麼辦他呢.他們都說、把他釘十字架。 

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 

巡撫說、為甚麼呢、他作了甚麼惡事呢。他們便極力的喊著說、把他釘十字架。 

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. 

彼拉多見說也無濟於事、反要生亂、就拿水在眾人面前洗手、說、流這義人的血、罪不在我、你們承當吧。 

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 

眾人都回答說、他的血歸到我們、和我們的子孫身上。 

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. 

於是彼拉多釋放巴拉巴給他們、把耶穌鞭打了、交給人釘十字架。 

 

27:62-66 The chief priests and Pharisees request a guard at Jesus' tomb

次日、就是預備日的第二天、祭司長和法利賽人聚集、來見彼拉多、說、 

Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 

大人、我們記得那誘惑人的、還活著的時候、曾說、三日後我要復活。 

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 

因此、請吩咐人將墳墓把守妥當、直到第三日.恐怕他的門徒來把他偷了去、就告訴百姓說、他從死裏復活了.這樣、那後來的迷惑、比先前的更利害了。 

Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. 

彼拉多說、你們有看守的兵.去吧、盡你們所能的、把守妥當。 

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. 

他們就帶著看守的兵同去、封了石頭、將墳墓把守妥當。 

 

28:4 The guards tremble and become like dead when the angel appears

看守的人、就因他嚇得渾身亂戰、甚至和死人一樣。 

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 

 

28:11-15 The chief priest bribe the guards to lie about their actions

他們去的時候、看守的兵、有幾個進城去、將所經歷的事、都報給祭司長。 

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 

祭司長和長老聚集商議、就拿許多銀錢給兵丁說、 

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 

你們要這樣說、夜間我們睡覺的時候、他的門徒來把他偷去了。 

Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 

倘若這話被巡撫聽見、有我們勸他、保你們無事。 

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 

兵丁受了銀錢、就照所囑咐他們的去行.這話就傳說在猶太人中間、直到今日。 

So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. 

 

 

馬可福音 Gospel of Mark

 

3:6 The Pharisees are said to have begun to plan to destroy Jesus

法利賽人出去、同希律一黨的人商議、怎樣可以除滅耶穌。 

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. 

 

7:6-13 Condemnation of the Pharisees for rejecting the commandments

耶穌說、以賽亞指著你們假冒為善之人所說的預言、是不錯的、如經上說、『這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我、心卻遠離我。 

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 

他們將人的吩咐、當作道理教導人、所以拜我也是枉然。』 

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 

你們是離棄 神的誡命、拘守人的遺傳。 

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 

又說、你們誠然是廢棄 神的誡命、要守自己的遺傳。 

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 

摩西說、『當孝敬父母。』又說、『咒駡父母的、必治死他。』 

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 

你們倒說、人若對父母說、我所當奉給你的、已經作了各耳板(各耳板、就是供獻的意思) 

But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 

以後你們就不容他再奉養父母. 

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 

這就是你們承接遺傳、廢了 神的道.你們還作許多這樣的事。 

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. 

 

8:15 Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees

耶穌囑咐他們說、你們要謹慎、防備法利賽人的酵、和希律的酵。 

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. 

 

10:2-5 The Pharisees are said to be hard-hearted

有法利賽人來問他說、人休妻可以不可以、意思要試探他。 

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. 

耶穌回答說、摩西吩咐你們的是甚麼。 

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? 

他們說、摩西許人寫了休書便可以休妻。 

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. 

耶穌說、摩西因為你們的心硬、所以寫這條例給你們。 

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 

 

14:55-65 The chief priests and council condemn Jesus as deserving death

祭司長和全公會尋找見證控告耶穌、要治死他.卻尋不著。 

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. 

因為有好些人作假見證告他、只是他們的見證、各不相合。 

For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. 

又有幾個人站起來、作假見證告他說、 

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, 

我們聽見他說、我要拆毀這人手所造的殿、三日內就另造一座不是人手所造的。 

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. 

他們就是這麼作見證、也是各不相合。 

But neither so did their witness agree together. 

大祭司起來、站在中間、問耶穌說、你甚麼都不回答麼.這些人作見證告你的是甚麼呢。 

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 

耶穌卻不言語、一句也不回答。大祭司又問他說、你是那當稱頌者的兒子基督不是。 

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 

耶穌說、我是.你們必看見人子、坐在那權能者的右邊、駕著天上的雲降臨。 

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 

大祭司就撕開衣服、說、我們何必再用見證人呢。 

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? 

你們已經聽見他這僭妄的話了.你們的意見如何.他們都定他該死的罪。 

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. 

就有人吐唾沫在他臉上、又蒙著他的臉、用拳頭打他、對他說、你說預言吧.差役接過他來用手掌打他。 

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands. 

 

15:1-15  The crowd demands that Jesus, not Barabbas, be crucified

一到早晨、祭司長和長老文士全公會的人大家商議、就把耶穌捆綁解去、交給彼拉多。 

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate. 

彼拉多問他說、你是猶太人的王麼.耶穌回答說、你說的是。 

And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it. 

祭司長告他許多的事。 

And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. 

彼拉多又問他說、你看、他們告你這麼多的事、你甚麼都不回答麼。 

And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. 

耶穌仍不回答、以致彼拉多覺得希奇。 

But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled. 

每逢這節期、巡撫照眾人所求的、釋放一個囚犯給他們。 

Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 

有一個人名叫巴拉巴、和作亂的人一同捆綁.他們作亂的時候、曾殺過人。 

And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.  

眾人上去求巡撫、照常例給他們辦。 

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them. 

彼拉多說、你們要我釋放猶太人的王給你們麼。 

But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 

他原曉得祭司長是因為嫉妒才把耶穌解了來。 

For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. 

只是祭司長挑唆眾人、寧可釋放巴拉巴給他們。 

But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 

彼拉多又說、那麼樣你們所稱為猶太人的王、我怎麼辦他呢。 

And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? 

他們又喊著說、把他釘十字架。 

And they cried out again, Crucify him. 

彼拉多說、為甚麼呢、他作了甚麼惡事呢。他們便極力的喊著說、把他釘十字架。 

Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. 

彼拉多要叫眾人喜悅、就釋放巴拉巴給他們、將耶穌鞭打了、交給人釘十字架。 

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

3:7c The multitudes are called poisonous snakes

約翰對那出來要受他洗的眾人說、毒蛇的種類、誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢。 

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

 

4:28-30 The members of the synagogue in Nazareth try to kill Jesus

會堂裏的人聽見這話、都怒氣滿胸. 

And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 

就起來攆他出城、他們的城造在山上、他們帶他到山崖、要把他推下去。 

And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 

他卻從他們中間直行、過去了。 

But he passing through the midst of them went his way, 

 

7:30 The Pharisees are said to have rejected the purposes of God

但法利賽人和律法師、沒有受過約翰的洗、竟為自己廢棄了 神的旨意。〔或作但法利賽人和律法師不受約翰的洗竟為自己廢棄了 神的旨意〕 

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him. 

 

11:39-54 The Pharisees and Torah scholars are repeatedly condemned

主對他說、如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面.你們裏面卻滿了勒索和邪惡。 

And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 

無知的人哪、造外面的、不也造裏面麼。 

Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? 

只要把裏面的施捨給人、凡物於你們就都潔淨了。 

But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. 

你們法利賽人有禍了.因為你們將薄荷芸香、並各樣菜蔬、獻上十分之一、那公義和愛 神的事、反倒不行了.這原是你們當行的、那也是不可不行的。 

But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 

你們法利賽人有禍了.因為你們喜愛會堂裏的首位、又喜愛人在街市上問你們的安。 

Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. 

你們有禍了.因為你們如同不顯露的墳墓、走在上面的人並不知道。 

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. 

律法師中有一個回答耶穌說、夫子、你這樣說、也把我們糟蹋了。 

Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. 

耶穌說、你們律法師也有禍了.因為你們把難擔的擔子、放在人身上、自己一個指頭卻不肯動。 

And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. 

你們有禍了.因為你們修造先知的墳墓、那先知正是你們的祖宗所殺的。 

Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 

可見你們祖宗所作的事、你們又證明又喜歡.因為他們殺了先知、你們修造先知的墳墓。 

Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. 

所以 神用智慧曾說、〔用智慧或作的智者〕我要差遣先知和使徒、到他們那裏去.有的他們要殺害、有的他們要逼迫。 

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: 

使創世以來、所流眾先知血的罪、都要問在這世代的人身上. 

That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 

就是從亞伯的血起、直到被殺在壇和殿中間撒迦利亞的血為止.我實在告訴你們、這都要問在這世代的人身上。 

From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. 

你們律法師有禍了.因為你們把知識的鑰匙奪了去.自己不進去、正要進去的人、你們也阻擋他們。 

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. 

耶穌從那裏出來、文士和法利賽人就極力的催逼他、引動他多說話. 

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: 

私下窺聽、要拿他的話柄。 

Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him. 

 

12:1b Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy

這時、有幾萬人聚集、甚至彼此踐踏、耶穌開講、先對門徒說、你們要防備法利賽人的酵、就是假冒為善。 

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 

 

13:14-17 The ruler of the synagogue is condemned as a hypocrite

管會堂的、因為耶穌在安息日治病、就氣忿忿的對眾人說、有六日應當作工.那六日之內、可以來求醫、在安息日卻不可。 

And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 

主說、假冒為善的人哪、難道你們各人在安息日不解開槽上的牛驢、牽去飲麼。 

The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 

況且這女人本是亞伯拉罕的後裔、被撒但捆綁了這十八年、不當在安息日解開他的綁麼。 

And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? 

耶穌說這話、他的敵人都慚愧了.眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事、就都歡喜了。 

And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. 

 

13:35a The house of Jerusalem is to be forsaken

看哪、你們的家成為荒場留給你們. 

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate:

 

22:63-71 The chief priests and council condemn Jesus as deserving death

看守耶穌的人戲弄他、打他、 

And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. 

又蒙著他的眼問他說、你是先知、告訴我們、打你的是誰。 

And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? 

他們還用許多別的話辱駡他。 

And many other things blasphemously spake they against him. 

天一亮、民間的眾長老連祭司長帶文士都聚會.把耶穌帶到他們的公會裏、 

And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 

說、你若是基督、就告訴我們。耶穌說、我若告訴你們、你們也不信. 

Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: 

我若問你們、你們也不回答。 

And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. 

從今以後、人子要坐在 神權能的右邊。 

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 

他們都說、這樣、你是 神的兒子麼。耶穌說、你們所說的是。 

Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 

他們說、何必再用見證呢.他親口所說的、我們都親自聽見了。 

And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. 

 

23:1-25 The people demand that Jesus, not Barabbas, be crucified

眾人都起來、把耶穌解到彼拉多面前。 

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. 

就告他說、我們見這人誘惑國民、禁止納稅給該撒、並說自己是基督、是王。 

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. 

彼拉多問耶穌說、你是猶太人的王麼。耶穌回答說、你說的是。 

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it. 

彼拉多對祭司長和眾人說、我查不出這人有甚麼罪來。 

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. 

但他們越發極力的說、他煽惑百姓、在猶太遍地傳道、從加利利起、直到這裏了。 

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. 

彼拉多一聽見、就問這人是加利利人麼。 

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean. 

既曉得耶穌屬希律所管、就把他送到希律那裏去.那時希律正在耶路撒冷。 

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. 

希律看見耶穌、就很歡喜.因為聽見過他的事、久已想要見他.並且指望看他行一件神跡。 

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. 

於是問他許多的話.耶穌卻一言不答。 

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. 

祭司長和文士、都站著極力的告他。 

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. 

希律和他的兵丁就藐視耶穌、戲弄他、給他穿上華麗衣服、把他送回彼拉多那裏去。 

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. 

從前希律和彼拉多彼此有仇.在那一天就成了朋友。 

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves. 

彼拉多傳齊了祭司長、和、官府並百姓、 

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 

就對他們說、你們解這人到我這裏、說他是誘惑百姓的.看哪、我也曾將你們告他的事、在你們面前審問他、並沒有查出他甚麼罪來. 

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 

就是希律也是如此、所以把他送回來.可見他沒有作甚麼該死的事。 

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 

故此我要責打他、把他釋放了。〔有古卷在此有〕 

I will therefore chastise him, and release him. 

〔每逢這節期巡撫必須釋放一個囚犯給他們〕 

(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.) 

眾人卻一齊喊著說、除掉這個人、釋放巴拉巴給我們。 

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: 

這巴拉巴是因在城裏作亂殺人下在監裏的。 

 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.) 

彼拉多願意釋放耶穌、就又勸解他們. 

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. 

無奈他們喊著說、釘他十字架、釘他十字架。 

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. 

彼拉多第三次對他們說、為甚麼呢、這人作了甚麼惡事呢、我並沒有查出他甚麼該死的罪來.所以我要責打他、把他釋放了。 

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. 

他們大聲催逼彼拉多、求他把耶穌釘在十字架上。他們的聲音就得了勝、 

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. 

彼拉多這才照他們所求的定案. 

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. 

把他們所求的那作亂殺人下在監裏的、釋放了.把耶穌交給他們、任憑他們的意思行。 

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

 

 

約翰福音 Gospel of John

 

5:16-18 The Jews are said to have persecuted Jesus and wanted to kill him

所以猶太人逼迫耶穌、因為他在安息日作了這事。 

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. 

耶穌就對他們說、我父作事直到如今、我也作事。 

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. 

所以猶太人越發想要殺他.因他不但犯了安息日、並且稱 神為他的父、將自己和 神當作平等。 

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. 

 

5:37b-47 It is said that God's word and God's love is not in the Jews

你們從來沒有聽見他的聲音、也沒有看見他的形像。 

Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. 

你們並沒有他的道存在心裏.因為他所差來的、你們不信。 

And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 

你們查考聖經.〔或作應當查考聖經〕因你們以為內中有永生.給我作見證的就是這經。 

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 

然而你們不肯到我這裏來得生命。 

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 

我不受從人來的榮耀。 

I receive not honour from men. 

但我知道你們心裏、沒有 神的愛。 

But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 

我奉我父的名來、你們並不接待我.若有別人奉自己的名來、你們倒要接待他。 

I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 

你們互相受榮耀、卻不求從獨一之 神來的榮耀、怎能信我呢。 

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 

不要想我在父面前要告你們.有一位告你們的、就是你們所仰賴的摩西。 

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 

你們如果信摩西、也必信我.因為他書上有指著我寫的話。 

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 

你們若不信他的書、怎能信我的話呢。 

But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? 

 

7:19-24 It is said that none of the Jews do (what is written in) the Torah

摩西豈不是傳律法給你們麼.你們卻沒有一個人守律法。為甚麼想要殺我呢。 

Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? 

眾人回答說你是被鬼附著了.誰想要殺你。 

The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? 

耶穌說、我作了一件事、你們都以為希奇。 

Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. 

摩西傳割禮給你們、(其實不是從摩西起的、乃是從祖先起的)因此你們也在安息日給人行割禮。 

Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. 

人若在安息日受割禮、免得違背摩西的律法、我在安息日叫一個人全然好了、你們就向我生氣麼。 

If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? 

不可按外貌斷定是非、總要按公平斷定是非。 

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. 

 

7:28d It is said that the Jews do not know the One who has sent Jesus

但那差我來的是真的.你們不認識他。 

But he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. 

 

8:13-28 It is said that the Pharisees know neither Jesus nor the Father

法利賽人對他說、你是為自己作見證.你的見證不真。 

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. 

耶穌說、我雖然為自己作見證、我的見證還是真的.因我知道我從那裏來、往那裏去.你們卻不知道我從那裏來、往那裏去。 

Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. 

你們是以外貌〔原文作憑肉身〕判斷人.我卻不判斷人。 

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 

就是判斷人、我的判斷也是真的.因為不是我獨自在這裏、還有差我來的父與我同在。 

And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 

你們的律法上也記著說、兩個人的見證是真的。 

It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 

我是為自己作見證、還有差我來的父、也是為我作見證。 

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 

他們就問他說、你的父在那裏。耶穌回答說、你們不認識我、也不認識我的父.若是認識我、也就認識我的父。 

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 

這些話是耶穌在殿裏的庫房、教訓人時所說的.也沒有人拿他、因為他的時候還沒有到。 

These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. 

耶穌又對他們說、我要去了、你們要找我、並且你們要死在罪中.我所去的地方、你們不能到。 

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 

猶太人說、他說我所去的地方、你們不能到、難道他要自盡麼。 

Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. 

耶穌對他們說、你們是從下頭來的、我是從上頭來的.你們是屬這世界的、我不是屬這世界的。 

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. 

所以我對你們說、你們要死在罪中、你們若不信我是基督、必要死在罪中。 

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. 

他們就問他說、你是誰。耶穌對他們說、就是我從起初所告訴你們的。 

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 

我有許多事講論你們、判斷你們、但那差我來的是真的.我在他那裏所聽見的、我就傳給世人。 

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 

他們不明白耶穌是指著父說的。 

They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. 

所以耶穌說、你們舉起人子以後、必知道我是基督、並且知道我沒有一件事、是憑著自己作的.我說這些話、乃是照著父所教訓我的。 

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 

 

8:37-59 The Jews are said to be descendants of their father, the Devil

我知道你們是亞伯拉罕的子孫、你們卻想要殺我.因為你們心裏容不下我的道。 

I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. 

我所說的、是在我父那裏看見的.你們所行的、是在你們的父那裏聽見的。 

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 

他們說、我們的父就是亞伯拉罕。耶穌說、你們若是亞伯拉罕的兒子、就必行亞伯拉罕所行的事。 

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 

我將在 神那裏所聽見的真理、告訴了你們、現在你們卻想要殺我.這不是亞伯拉罕所行的事. 

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 

你們是行你們父所行的事。他們說、我們不是從淫亂生的.我們只有一位父就是 神。 

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 

耶穌說、倘若 神是你們的父、你們就必愛我.因為我本是出於 神、也是從 神而來、並不是由著自己來、乃是他差我來。 

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 

你們為甚麼不明白我的話呢、無非是因你們不能聽我的道。 

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 

你們是出於你們的父魔鬼、你們父的私欲、你們偏要行、他從起初是殺人的、不守真理.因他心裏沒有真理、他說謊是出於自己、因他本來是說謊的、也是說謊之人的父。 

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

我將真理告訴你們、你們就因此不信我。 

And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 

你們中間誰能指證我有罪呢。我既然將真理告訴你們、為甚麼不信我呢。 

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 

出於 神的、必聽 神的話.你們不聽、因為你們不是出於 神。 

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. 

猶太人回答說、我們說你是撒瑪利亞人、並且是鬼附著的、這話豈不正對麼。 

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? 

耶穌說、我不是鬼附著的.我尊敬我的父、你們倒輕慢我。 

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. 

我不求自己的榮耀.有一位為我求榮耀定是非的。 

And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. 

我實實在在的告訴你們、人若遵守我的道、就永遠不見死。 

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. 

猶太人對他說、現在我們知道你是鬼附著的。亞伯拉罕死了、眾先知也死了.你還說人若遵守我的道、就永遠不嘗死味。 

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. 

難道你比我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕還大麼。他死了、眾先知也死了.你將自己當作甚麼人呢。 

Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? 

耶穌回答說、我若榮耀自己、我的榮耀就算不得甚麼.榮耀我的乃是我的父、就是你們所說是你們的 神。 

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 

你們未曾認識他.我卻認識他.我若說不認識他、我就是說謊的、像你們一樣、但我認識他、也遵守他的道。 

Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 

你們的祖宗亞伯拉罕歡歡喜喜的仰望我的日子.既看見了、就快樂。 

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 

猶太人說、你還沒有五十歲、豈見過亞伯拉罕呢。 

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 

耶穌說、我實實在在的告訴你們、還沒有亞伯拉罕、就有了我。 

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. 

於是他們拿石頭要打他.耶穌卻躲藏、從殿裏出去了。 

Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. 

 

9:13-41 The Pharisees and other Jews are condemned as guilty

他們把從前瞎眼的人、帶到法利賽人那裏。 

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 

耶穌和泥開他眼睛的日子是安息日。 

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 

法利賽人也問他是怎麼得看見的。瞎子對他們說、他把泥抹在我的眼睛上、我去一洗、就看見了。 

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. 

法利賽人中有的說、這個人不是從 神來的、因為他不守安息日。又有人說、一個罪人怎能行這樣的神跡呢。他們就起了分爭。 

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. 

他們又對瞎子說、他既然開了你的眼睛、你說他是怎樣的人呢。他說、是個先知。 

They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 

猶太人不信他從前是瞎眼、後來能看見的、等到叫了他的父母來、 

But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 

問他們說、這是你們的兒子麼.你們說他生來是瞎眼的、如今怎麼能看見了呢。 

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? 

他父母回答說、他是我們的兒子、生來就瞎眼、這是我們知道的。 

His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 

至於他如今怎麼能看見、我們卻不知道.是誰開了他的眼睛、我們也不知道.他已經成了人、你們問他吧.他自己必能說。 

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 

他父母說這話、是怕猶太人、因為猶太人已經商議定了、若有認耶穌是基督的、要把他趕出會堂。 

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 

因此他父母說、他已經成了人、你們問他吧。 

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 

所以法利賽人第二次叫了那從前瞎眼的人來、對他說、你該將榮耀歸給 神.我們知道這人是個罪人。 

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 

他說、他是個罪人不是、我不知道.有一件事我知道.從前我是眼瞎的、如今能看見了。 

He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 

他們就問他說、他向你作甚麼、是怎麼開了你的眼睛呢。 

Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? 

他回答說、我方才告訴你們、你們不聽.為甚麼又要聽呢.莫非你們也要作他的門徒麼。 

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 

他們就罵他說、你是他的門徒.我們是摩西的門徒。 

Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. 

 神對摩西說話、是我們知道的.只是這個人、我們不知道他從那裏來。 

We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. 

那人回答說、他開了我的眼睛、你們竟不知道他從那裏來、這真是奇怪。 

The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. 

我們知道 神不聽罪人.惟有敬奉神遵行他旨意的、 神才聽他。 

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. 

從創世以來、未曾聽見有人把生來是瞎子的眼睛開了。 

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 

這人若不是從 神來的、甚麼也不能作。 

If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 

他們回答說、你全然生在罪孽中、還要教訓我們麼。於是把他趕出去了。 

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. 

耶穌聽說他們把他趕出去.後來遇見他、就說、你信 神的兒子麼。 

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 

他回答說、主阿、誰是 神的兒子、叫我信他呢。 

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 

耶穌說、你已經看見他、現在和你說話的就是他。 

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 

他說、主阿、我信.就拜耶穌。 

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. 

耶穌說、我為審判到這世上來、叫不能看見的、可以看見.能看見的、反瞎了眼。 

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 

同他在那裏的法利賽人、聽見這話、就說、難道我們也瞎了眼麼。 

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 

耶穌對他們說、你們若瞎了眼、就沒有罪了.但如今你們說、我們能看見、所以你們的罪還在。 

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

 

10:8 The Jews are said to be thieves and robbers

凡在我以先來的、都是賊、是強盜.羊卻不聽他們。 

All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 

 

10:10a The Jews are depicted as those who steal and kill and destroy

盜賊來、無非要偷竊、殺害、毀壞.我來了、是要叫羊〔或作人〕得生命、並且得的更豐盛。 

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

 

10:31-39 The Jews are said to have picked up stones to throw at Jesus

猶太人又拿起石頭來要打他。 

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 

耶穌對他們說、我從父顯出許多善事給你們看、你們是為那一件拿石頭打我呢。 

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 

猶太人回答說、我們不是為善事拿石頭打你、是為你說僭妄的話.又為你是個人、反將自己當作 神。 

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 

耶穌說、你們的律法上豈不是寫著、『我曾說你們是 神』麼。 

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 

經上的話是不能廢的.若那些承受 神道的人、尚且稱為 神、 

If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 

父所分別為聖、又差到世間來的、他自稱是 神的兒子、你們還向他說、你說僭妄的話麼。 

Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 

我若不行我父的事、你們就不必信我。 

If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 

我若行了、你們縱然不信我、也當信這些事.叫你們又知道、又明白、父在我裏面、我也在父裏面。 

But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. 

他們又要拿他.他卻逃出他們的手走了。 

Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand. 

 

11:53 It is said that the Jews realized that they would have to kill Jesus

從那日起他們就商議要殺耶穌。 

Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. 

 

11:57 It is said that the chief priests and Pharisees wanted to seize Jesus

那時、祭司長和法利賽人早已吩咐說、若有人知道耶穌在那裏、就要報明、好去拿他。 

Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.

 

12:10 It is said that the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus and Jesus

但祭司長商議連拉撒路也要殺了. 

But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death. 

 

12:36b-43 It is said that most Jews loved the praise of men more than of God

耶穌說了這話、就離開他們、隱藏了。 

While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. 

他雖然在他們面前行了許多神跡、他們還是不信他。 

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: 

這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話、說、『主阿、我們所傳的、有誰信呢.主的膀臂向誰顯露呢。』 

That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? 

他們所以不能信、因為以賽亞又說、 

Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, 

『主叫他們瞎了眼、硬了心、免得他們眼睛看見、心裏明白、回轉過來、我就醫治他們。』 

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. 

以賽亞因為看見他的榮耀、就指著他說這話。 

These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. 

雖然如此、官長中卻有好些信他的.只因法利賽人的緣故、就不承認、恐怕被趕出會堂。 

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: 

這是因他們愛人的榮耀、過於愛 神的榮耀。 

For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. 

 

16:2-4 (The Jews who) kill Jesus' disciples will think they are serving God

人要把你們趕出會堂.並且時候將到、凡殺你們的、就以為是事奉 神。 

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 

他們這樣行、是因未曾認識父、也未曾認識我。 

And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 

我將這事告訴你們、是叫你們到了時候、可以想起我對你們說過了。我起先沒有將這事告訴你們、因為我與你們同在。 

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. 

 

18:28-32 The Jews are said to have demanded that Pilate sentence Jesus to death

眾人將耶穌、從該亞法那裏往衙門內解去.那時天還早.他們自己卻不進衙門、恐怕染了污穢、不能吃逾越節的筵席。 

Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. 

彼拉多就出來、到他們那裏、說、你們告這人是為甚麼事呢。 

Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man? 

他們回答說、這人若不是作惡的、我們就不把他交給你。 

They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. 

彼拉多說、你們自己帶他去、按著你們的律法審問他吧。猶太人說、我們沒有殺人的權柄。 

Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: 

這要應驗耶穌所說、自己將要怎樣死的話了。 

That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. 

 

18:38b-40 The Jews are said to be demanding that Jesus, not Barabbas, be crucified

又出來到猶太人那裏、對他們說、我查不出他有甚麼罪來。 

Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. 

但你們有個規矩、在逾越節要我給你們釋放一個人、你們要我給你們釋放猶太人的王麼。 

But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 

他們又喊著說、不要這人、要巴拉巴。這巴拉巴是個強盜。 

Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. 

 

19:4-16 The Jews are depicted as insisting to Pilate that Jesus be crucified

彼拉多又出來對眾人說、我帶他出來見你們、叫你們知道我查不出他有甚麼罪來。 

Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. 

耶穌出來、戴著荊棘冠冕、穿著紫袍。彼拉多對他們說、你們看這個人。 

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! 

祭司長和差役看見他、就喊著說、釘他十字架、釘他十字架。彼拉多說、你們自己把他釘十字架吧.我查不出他有甚麼罪來。 

When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. 

猶太人回答說、我們有律法、按那律法、他是該死的、因他以自己為 神的兒子。 

The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. 

彼拉多聽見這話、越發害怕。 

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; 

又進衙門、對耶穌說、你是那裏來的.耶穌卻不回答。 

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. 

彼拉多說、你不對我說話麼.你豈不知我有權柄釋放你、也有權柄把你釘十字架麼。 

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? 

耶穌回答說、若不是從上頭賜給你的、你就毫無權柄辦我.所以把我交給你的那人、罪更重了。 

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. 

從此彼拉多想要釋放耶穌.無奈猶太人喊著說、你若釋放這個人、就不是該撒的忠臣.〔原文作朋友〕凡以自己為王的、就是背叛該撒了。 

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. 

彼拉多聽見這話、就帶耶穌出來、到了一個地方、名叫鋪華石處、希伯來話叫厄巴大、就在那裏坐堂。 

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 

那日是預備逾越節的日子、約有午正。彼拉多對猶太人說、看哪、這是你們的王。 

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 

他們喊著說、除掉他、除掉他、釘他在十字架上。彼拉多說、我可以把你們的王釘十字架麼。祭司長回答說、除了該撒、我們沒有王。 

But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. 

於是彼拉多將耶穌交給他們去釘十字架。 

Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 

 

 

使徒行傳 Acts of the Apostles

 

2:23b Peter tells the men of Israel that they crucified Jesus

你們就借著無法之人的手、把他釘在十字架上殺了。 

Ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.

 

2:36b Again Peter tells the men of Israel that they crucified Jesus

你們釘在十字架上的這位耶穌。

That same Jesus, whom ye have crucified.

 

3:13b-15a Peter tells the men of Israel that they killed the originator of life

你們卻把他交付彼拉多.彼拉多定意要釋放他、你們竟在彼拉多面前棄絕了他. 

Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 

你們棄絕了那聖潔公義者、反求著釋放一個兇手給你們. 

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 

你們殺了那生命的主。 

And killed the Prince of life

 

4:10a Again Peter tells the men of Israel that they killed Jesus

你們所釘十字架……拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名。 

Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified.

 

5:30b Peter tells the members of the Jewish council that they killed Jesus

你們掛在木頭上殺害的耶穌。 

Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 

 

6:11-14 Some Jews are said to have brought false accusations against Stephen

就買出人來說、我們聽見他說謗讟摩西、和 神的話。 

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. 

他們又聳動了百姓、長老、並文士、就忽然來捉拿他、把他帶到公會去、 

And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, 

設下假見證說、這個人說話、不住的糟踐聖所和律法. 

And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: 

我們曾聽見他說、這拿撒勒人耶穌、要毀壞此地、也要改變摩西所交給我們的規條。 

For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us. 

 

7:51-60 Stephen shown as condemning the Jews for betraying and killing Jesus

你們這硬著頸項、心與耳未受割禮的人、常時抗拒聖靈.你們的祖宗怎樣、你們也怎樣。 

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 

那一個先知、不是你們祖宗逼迫呢.他們也把預先傳說那義者要來的人殺了.如今你們又把那義者賣了、殺了。 

Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 

你們受了天使所傳的律法、竟不遵守 

Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. 

眾人聽見這話、就極其惱怒、向司提反咬牙切齒。 

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. 

但司提反被聖靈充滿、定睛望天、看見 神的榮耀、又看見耶穌站在 神的右邊. 

But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 

就說、我看見天開了、人子站在 神的右邊。 

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 

眾人大聲喊叫、摀著耳朵、齊心擁上前去. 

Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 

把他推到城外、用石頭打他.作見證的人、把衣裳放在一個少年人名叫掃羅的腳前。 

And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. 

他們正用石頭打的時候、司提反呼籲主說、求主耶穌接收我的靈魂。 

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 

又跪下大聲喊著說、主阿、不要將這罪歸於他們。說了這話、就睡了.掃羅也喜悅他被害。 

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. 

 

9:1-2 Paul is depicted as planning the arrest of disciples of Jesus

掃羅仍然向主的門徒、口吐威嚇兇殺的話、去見大祭司、 

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 

求文書給大馬色的各會堂、若是找著信奉這道的人、無論男女、都准他捆綁帶到耶路撒冷。 

And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 

 

9:23-25 Jews are said to have plotted to kill Paul

過了好些日子、猶太人商議要殺掃羅。 

And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: 

但他們的計謀、被掃羅知道了。他們又晝夜在城門守候要殺他. 

But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 

他的門徒就在夜間、用筐子把他從城牆上縋下去。 

Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. 

 

9:29b Jewish Hellenists are also said to have tried to kill Paul

奉主的名、放膽傳道.並與說希利尼話的猶太人、講論辯駁.他們卻想法子要殺他。 

And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him. 

 

12:1-3a It is said that the Jews were pleased when Herod killed James

那時、希律王下手苦害教會中幾個人。 

Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 

用刀殺了約翰的哥哥雅各。 

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 

他見猶太人喜歡這事。 

And because he saw it pleased the Jews.

 

12:3b-4 Herod is said to have seized Peter also to please the Jews

又去捉拿彼得。那時正是除酵的日子。 

He proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 

希律拿了彼得收在監裏、交付四班兵丁看守、每班四個人、意思要在逾越節後、把他提出來、當著百姓辦他. 

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 

 

12:11 Peter is said to have realized that the Jews wanted to kill him

彼得醒悟過來、說、我現在真知道主差遣他的使者、救我脫離希律的手、和猶太百姓一切所盼望的。 

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. 

 

13:10-11 Paul is said to have condemned the Jew Elymas as a son of the Devil

說、你這充滿各樣詭詐奸惡、魔鬼的兒子、眾善的仇敵、你混亂主的正道還不止住麼。 

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 

 

13:28-29a It is said that the Jews had asked Pilate to crucify Jesus

雖然查不出他有當死的罪來、還是求彼拉多殺他。 

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. 

既成就了經上指著他所記的一切話。 

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him.

 

13:39d It is said that Jews cannot be forgiven by means of the Torah

你們靠摩西的律法……不得稱義。 

Ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. 

 

13:45-46 Jews are said to have spoken against Paul

但猶太人看見人這樣多、就滿心嫉妒、硬駁保羅所說的話、並且譭謗。 

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 

保羅和巴拿巴放膽說、 神的道先講給你們、原是應當的、只因你們棄絕這道、斷定自己不配得永生、我們就轉向外邦人去。 

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. 

 

13:50-51 Jews are said to have encouraged persecution of Paul and Barnabas

但猶太人挑唆虔敬尊貴的婦女、和城內有名望的人、逼迫保羅、巴拿巴、將他們趕出境外。 

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. 

二人對著眾人跺下腳上的塵土、就往以哥念去了。 

But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. 

 

14:1-6 Many Jews opposing Paul and Barnabas and attempting to stone them

二人在以哥念同進猶太人的會堂、在那裏講的叫猶太人、和希利尼人、信的很多。 

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. 

但那不順從的猶太人、聳動外邦人、叫他們心裏惱恨弟兄。 

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. 

二人在那裏住了多日、倚靠主放膽講道.主借他們的手、施行神跡奇事、證明他的恩道。 

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

14:19-20 Jews are said to have stoned Paul, thinking that they had killed him

但有些猶太人、從安提阿和以哥念來、挑唆眾人、就用石頭打保羅、以為他是死了、便拖到城外。 

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. 

門徒正圍著他、他就起來、走進城去.第二天、同巴拿巴往特庇去、 

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. 

 

17:5-9 Jews are said to have incited a riot, looking for Paul and Silas

但那不信的猶太人心裏嫉妒、招聚了些市井匪類、搭夥成群、聳動合城的人、闖進耶孫的家、要將保羅西拉帶到百姓那裏。 

But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 

找不著他們、就把耶孫、和幾個弟兄、拉到地方官那裏、喊叫說、那攪亂天下的、也到這裏來了. 

And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; 

耶孫收留他們.這些人都違背該撒的命令、說另有一個王耶穌。 

Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus. 

眾人和地方官、聽見這話、就驚慌了。 

And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. 

於是取了耶孫和其餘之人的保狀、就釋放了他們。 

And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go. 

 

17:13 Jews are said to have stirred up turmoil against Paul

但帖撒羅尼迦的猶太人、知道保羅又在庇哩亞傳 神的道、也就往那裏去、聳動攪擾眾人。 

But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people. 

 

18:6 Paul said to have told the Jews, "Your blood will be on your own heads!"

他們既抗拒、譭謗、保羅就抖著衣裳說、你們的罪歸到你們自己頭上、〔罪原文作血〕與我無干、〔原文作我卻乾淨〕從今以後、我要往外邦人那裏去、 

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. 

 

18:12-17 Jews are said to have brought accusations against Paul

到迦流作亞該亞方伯的時候、猶太人同心起來攻擊保羅、拉他到公堂、 

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, 

說、這個人勸人不按著律法敬拜 神。 

Saying, This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law. 

保羅剛要開口、迦流就對猶太人說、你們這些猶太人、如果是為冤枉、或奸惡的事、我理當耐性聽你們. 

And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you: 

但所爭論的、若是關乎言語、名目、和你們的律法、你們自己去辦吧.這樣的事我不願意審問。 

But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters. 

就把他們攆出公堂。 

And he drave them from the judgment seat. 

眾人便揪住管會堂的所提尼、在堂前打他.這些事迦流都不管。 

Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things. 

 

19:13-19 Jewish exorcists are shown to be condemned

那時、有幾個遊行各處、念咒趕鬼的猶太人、向那被惡鬼附的人、擅自稱主耶穌的名、說、我奉保羅所傳的耶穌、敕令你們出來。 

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 

作這事的、有猶太祭司長士基瓦的七個兒子。 

And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 

惡鬼回答他們說、耶穌我認識、保羅我也知道.你們卻是誰呢。 

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 

惡鬼所附的人、就跳在他們身上、勝了其中二人、制伏他們、叫他們赤著身子受了傷、從那房子裏逃出去了。 

And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 

凡住在以弗所的、無論是猶太人、是希利尼人、都知道這事、也都懼怕、主耶穌的名從此就尊大了。 

And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

21:27-36 Jews are depicted as seizing Paul and as trying to kill him

那七日將完、從亞西亞來的猶太人、看見保羅在殿裏、就聳動了眾人、下手拿他、 

And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, 

喊叫說、以色列人來幫助、這就是在各處教訓眾人糟踐我們百姓、和律法、並這地方的.他又帶著希利尼人進殿、污穢了這聖地。 

Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. 

這話是因他們曾看見以弗所人特羅非摩、同保羅在城裏、以為保羅帶他進了殿。 

(For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.

And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.

Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people. 

眾人跟在後面、喊著說、除掉他。 

For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him. 

 

22:4-5 Paul says that when he was a Jew he had persecuted Christians

我也曾逼迫奉這道的人、直到死地、無論男女都鎖拿下監。 

And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. 

這是大祭司和眾長老都可以給我作見證的.我又領了他們達與弟兄的書信、往大馬色去、要把在那裏奉這道的人鎖拿、帶到耶路撒冷受刑。 

As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished. 

 

23:2-5 Paul is said to have condemned the chief priest for striking Paul

大祭司亞拿尼亞、就吩咐旁邊站著的人打他的嘴。 

And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. 

保羅對他說、你這粉飾的牆、 神要打你.你坐堂為的是按律法審問我、你竟違背律法、吩咐人打我麼。 

Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? 

站在旁邊的人說、你辱駡 神的大祭司麼。 

And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? 

保羅說、弟兄們、我不曉得他是大祭司.經上記著說、『不可譭謗你百姓的官長。』 

Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people. 

 

23:12-22 Jews are said to have plotted to eat nothing until they kill Paul

到了天亮、猶太人同謀起誓、說、若不先殺保羅、就不吃不喝。 

And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. 

這樣同心起誓的、有四十多人。 

And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy. 

他們來見祭司長和長老說、我們已經起了一個大誓、若不先殺保羅、就不吃甚麼。 

And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.  

現在你們和公會要知會千夫長、叫他帶下保羅到你們這裏來、假作要詳細察考他的事.我們已經預備好了、不等他來到跟前就殺他。 

Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him. 

保羅的外甥、聽見他們設下埋伏、就來到營樓裏告訴保羅。 

And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul. 

保羅請一個百夫長來、說、你領這少年人去見千夫長、他有事告訴他。 

Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him. 

於是把他領去見千夫長說、被囚的保羅請我到他那裏、求我領這少年人來見你.他有事告訴你。 

So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee. 

千夫長就拉著他的手、走到一旁、私下問他說、你有甚麼事告訴我呢。 

Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me? 

他說、猶太人已經約定、要求你明天帶下保羅到公會裏去、假作要詳細查問他的事。 

And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly. 

你切不要隨從他們、因為他們有四十多人埋伏、已經起誓、說、若不先殺保羅、就不吃不喝.現在預備好了、只等你應允。 

But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee. 

於是千夫長打發少年人走、囑咐他說、不要告訴人你將這事報給我了。 

So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

 

23:27-30 Paul is said to have been nearly killed by the Jews

這人被猶太人拿住、將要殺害、我得知他是羅馬人、就帶兵丁下去救他出來。 

This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman. 

因要知道他們告他的緣故、我就帶他下到他們的公會去. 

And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council: 

便查知他被告、是因他們律法的辯論、並沒有甚麼該死該綁的罪名。 

Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds. 

後來有人把要害他的計謀告訴我、我就立時解他到你那裏去、又吩咐告他的人、在你面前告他。 

And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. 

 

24:9 The Jews are said to have accused Paul of many crimes

眾猶太人也隨著告他說、事情誠然是這樣。 

And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so. 

 

25:2-5 Jews are said to have plotted to kill Paul

祭司長、和猶太人的首領、向他控告保羅、 

Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, 

又央告他、求他的情、將保羅提到耶路撒冷來.他們要在路上埋伏殺害他。 

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. 

非斯都卻回答說、保羅押在該撒利亞、我自己快要往那裏去。 

But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither. 

又說、你們中間有權勢的人、與我一同下去、那人若有甚麼不是、就可以告他。 

Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him. 

 

25:7-11 Jews are said to have continued to bring accusations against Paul

保羅來了、那些從耶路撒冷下來的猶太人、周圍站著、將許多重大的事控告他、都是不能證實的。 

And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove. 

保羅分訴說、無論猶太人的律法、或是聖殿、或是該撒、我都沒有干犯。 

While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all. 

但非斯都要討猶太人的喜歡、就問保羅說、你願意上耶路撒冷去、在那裏聽我審斷這事麼。 

But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me? 

保羅說、我站在該撒的堂前、這就是我應當受審的地方.我向猶太人並沒有行過甚麼不義的事、這也是你明明知道的。 

Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest. 

我若行了不義的事、犯了甚麼該死的罪、就是死、我也不辭.他們所告我的事若都不實、就沒有人可以把我交給他們。我要上告於該撒。 

For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar. 

 

25:15-21 Jews are said to have spoken repeatedly against Paul

我在耶路撒冷的時候、祭司長和猶太的長老、將他的事稟報了我、求我定他的罪。 

About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him. 

我對他們說、無論甚麼人、被告還沒有和原告對質、未得機會分訴所告他的事、就先定他的罪、這不是羅馬人的條例。 

To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him. 

及至他們都來到這裏、我就不耽延、第二天便坐堂、吩咐把那人提上來。 

Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth. 

告他的人站著告他.所告的、並沒有我所逆料的那等惡事. 

Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed: 

不過是有幾樣辯論、為他們自己敬鬼神的事、又為一個人名叫耶穌、是已經死了、保羅卻說他是活著的。 

But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive. 

這些事當怎樣究問、我心裏作難.所以問他說、你願意上耶路撒冷去、在那裏為這些事聽審麼。 

And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters. 

但保羅求我留下他要聽皇上審斷、我就吩咐把他留下、等我解他到該撒那裏去。 

But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar. 

 

25:24 All Jews are said to have shouted that Paul must be killed

非斯都說、亞基帕王、和在這裏的諸位阿、你們看這人、就是一切猶太人在耶路撒冷、和這裏、曾向我懇求、呼叫說、不可容他再活著。 

And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer. 

 

26:21 The Jews are said to have seized Paul and tried to kill him

因此、猶太人在殿裏拿住我、想要殺我。 

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. 

 

28:25-28 Paul is said to have condemned the Jews for never understanding God

他們彼此不合、就散了.未散以先、保羅說了一句話、說、聖靈借先知以賽亞、向你們祖宗所說的話、是不錯的。 

And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, 

他說、『你去告訴這百姓說、你們聽是要聽見、卻不明白.看是要看見、卻不曉得. 

Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: 

因為這百姓、油蒙了心、耳朵發沉、眼睛閉著.恐怕眼睛看見、耳朵聽見、心裏明白、回轉過來、我就醫治他們。』 

For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 

所以你們當知道、 神這救恩、如今傳給外邦人、他們也必聽受。 

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

John 約翰福音8:44,47 Based on quantity alone, the Gospel of John appears to be the most anti-Jewish book in the New Testament

你們(猶太人)是出於你們的父魔鬼、你們(猶太人)父的私欲、你們(猶太人)偏要行、他從起初是殺人的、不守真理.因他心裏沒有真理、他說謊是出於自己、因他本來是說謊的、也是說謊之人的父。 

Ye(Jews) are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye(Jews) will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

出於 神的、必聽 神的話.你們(猶太人)不聽、因為你們(猶太人)不是出於 神。 

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye(Jews) therefore hear them not, because ye(Jews) are not of God. 

 

1st Thessalonians帖撒羅尼迦前書2:13-16 Condemning the Jews for killing Jesus and the prophets, and celebrating the suffering of the Jews now that the "wrath of God" has come upon them

為此、我們也不住的感謝 神、因你們聽見我們所傳 神的道、就領受了、不以為是人的道、乃以為是 神的道.這道實在是 神的、並且運行在你們信主的人心中。 

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 

弟兄們、你們曾效法猶太中、在基督耶穌裏 神的各教會.因為你們也受了本地人的苦害、像他們受了猶太人的苦害一樣。 

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 

這猶太人殺了主耶穌和先知、又把我們趕出去.他們不得 神的喜悅、且與眾人為敵. 

Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 

不許我們傳道給外邦人使外邦人得救、常常充滿自己的罪惡. 神的忿怒臨在他們身上已經到了極處。 

Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
